Students are asked to place 10s and 1s on the mat to make a certain number. Each time they add a block, the number in the background changes and the number also changes on the number line and the drums. Many visual representations of a number at once! Options include turning on or off any of the 1s, 10s, or 1000s using the buttons on the left.

Students choose 3 cards, a green, a blue, and a yellow. The cards transfer to the bottom and when the user pushes the red button, the number displays.

Students can "stamp" base 10 blocks onto the chart and then drag them around to explore the ways that numbers add together. As a student drags a block from the top to the bottom or back to the top, the addition problem on the right changes to reflect the two new numbers. Students can work with more or fewer columns. |
